I've been trying to write for so long but as we know there's this word called Procrastination which never let you do anything on time ! So here's my first post on the subject which appeals me the most i.e. Travel because every time unfolds the untold for me and opens new pages of life .
Year 2015 has been like a roller coaster ride for me till now with new targets and look forwards everyday. I've been on an Student Exchange Programme in Lille, France for three months starting from January . I've decided upon this even before joining an MBA school because for me this is the best opportunity that I could get to live in an European continent, to study alongside students of various nationalities, to travel around the places on student budget with time at hand. I've had a chance to travel pan-India (Thanks to Jagriti Yatra! ) and now blessed enough to travel abroad. My stay in Europe has taught me a lot about life, people and places. There are moments when you enjoy a lot but then there are time when you feel quite lonely and want to reach out to family and loved ones. It's always a mixed bag of emotions sometimes layered with fun and laughter and other times own moments of solitude.
I visited around eighteen countries of European continent and was always taken away by their varied cultures and history. Covered the Scandinavian countries when it's coldest out there to see the much-talked winters of that region while visited Spain & Portugal at the end to experience the transition to warm and beautiful summers. Eastern European countries ( Czech Republic, Budapest, Poland ) offered a different kind of outlook from the rest of the continent may be because of their communism influence and the emerging economy scenario. Backpacking to France and Germany made me realize why they are called the superpowers. The trip had many first for me be it the first skydiving experience ( Yes I did it from 14000 'effing feet! ) , my dream soccer match ( Champions League - FCB v/s ManCity ) at my loved stadium Camp Nou! the first Opera performance, first snow-flakes, the road-trip along the Spanish coast and so many other firsts! The endless train journeys and hostel stays made me meet so many people form all walks of life, gave me a chance to have a closer look at others' cultures and their way of life. It changed my perspective towards many things and gave me quite a few life lessons in all making me a better person and a more confident one!
I will always remember this period of my life when I've lived my dreams layered with experiences. I'm now heading towards my Summer Internship Program for two months in a city of dreams called Bombay! I just hope I get here quite often with new experiences leaving my friend Procrastination behind.
Nice!!!!
